Warranty Coverage

All end‑grain cutting boards are covered by a one‑year warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty applies only to issues arising from workmanship or material failure under normal, proper use.

What Is Covered

• Structural failures caused by improper glue joints
• Cracks or splits resulting from defects in construction
• Other manufacturing-related faults determined upon inspection

If a board is found to have a qualifying defect, it will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer.

What Is Not Covered

Damage resulting from improper care, misuse, or neglect is not covered under warranty. This includes, but is not limited to:

1. Water Damage
   • Leaving the board in a sink
   • Placing it in a dishwasher
   • Leaving it on a wet or soaked countertop
   • Prolonged exposure to standing water or excessive moisture
2. Improper Maintenance
   • Failure to regularly oil the board
   • Uneven or insufficient application of oil or conditioner
   • Using inappropriate oils or finishes
   • Allowing the board to dry out, leading to cracking or warping
3. Improper Use
   • Using the board as a trivet for hot pots or pans
   • Storing the board in direct sunlight or near heat sources
   • Deep knife gouges or damage from cleavers, hammers, or other impact tools

Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty eligibility, customers must:

• Keep the board properly conditioned with food-safe oil
• Avoid exposing the board to water saturation
• Store the board in a dry, stable environment
• Use the board only for appropriate kitchen tasks

Inspection Procedure

In the event of a warranty claim, the board must be brought or shipped back for inspection. If the issue is determined to be a manufacturing defect, repair or replacement will be provided. If the damage is due to improper care or misuse, the warranty will not apply.

What does an Improperly Cared For Cutting Board look Like?

My cutting boards are made from high quality, kiln dried, hardwood. If they warp like the image above, it is because they have been exposed to extreme humidity, or improper oiling. If they crack, it is because warping has built up extreme pressure in the wood, leading to glue joint failure. Mold/mildew are also a sign of abuse, and will void warranty.

What does An Improperly Made Cutting Board Look Like?

If there are gaps in glue joints, end grain glued to face grain, burn marks on edges, or warping when you first recieve the cutting board, you have full rights to a fix or to a replacement at no cost.
